75 (NZ) Squadron Memorial Garden

For many years now the Memorial Garden in the centre of Mepal Village, Cambrigeshire has been a focal point for all those with association with 75 (NZ) Squadron. RAF Mepal first hosted No. 75 (NZ) Squadron RAF in June 1943, when the squadron was flying, soon to be converting to Avro Lancasters.

The rose garden and lawn area containing a single-stepped octagonal base surmounted by a low, bevel-edged circular memorial stone. Incised inscription around the bevel edge and squadron badge at centre of the stone.

For those visiting the village and those that attend the annual Remembrance Day service, it is a special place to reflect and give thanks for the sacrifices made.
